God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
The serenity prayer is an excellent reminder that we need to surrender everything to God and trust that He'll take care of us.
For some however, living with stress is easier—it’s as natural as breathing.
A negative medical diagnosis, loss of income, or [any] painful life event can send most people into a tailspin. But why is that?
Truth is: we can't control everything, but we can trust God to care for and help us through anything—and that's how I try to approach life.
I know that God is always with me, and that no matter what happens, He will never leave me nor forsake me.
I know, I know, developing an unwavering belief that God will meet all your needs is easier said than done.
It's one thing to read, hear, and write an email about it, but it's another thing to [actually] live it.
But that’s the challenge. That’s where the rubber meets the road—it means going all-in. Instead of making God your number one source of hope and strength—make Him your only source of everything.
Father, guide me when I am confused, lost, and worried.
Bless me with Your wisdom and discernment, and help me to trust and follow Your will for my life.
“It's one thing to read, hear, and write an email about it, but it's another thing to [actually] live it.” So true!!! The practice of living in the truth of God’s Word is where we always need to be. His Word has to be our Truth, our Way, and Life.
God has to be THE Source of everything.
Me too!!! And by His grace and the work of the Holy Spirit’s work in us we will! He who began a good work in us will complete it. We can stand on that promise!
