His mighty right hand

"Don't trust to hold God's hand; let Him hold yours. Let Him do the holding, and you the trusting." —Hammer William Webb-Peploe
There's no shortage of well-meaning workaholics that boast proudly of the amount of time they pour into their job.
They talk about skipping lunch, working into the wee hours, and dedicating everything they have to their career or business.
But God wants them/you to approach things differently. Restful sleep and proper nutrition are not evidence of weakness—they're signs of trust in God's plan.
Consider Psalm 127:2, which reads, It is a waste of time to get up early and stay up late trying to make a living. The Lord provides for those he loves, even while they are sleeping. (ERV)
So if you're someone who "prides themselves" in working longer and harder than everyone else, you might want to examine your priorities.
Wouldn't it be easier to live a balanced life—one where you allow time for sleep, work, play, and service?
Look—God's ready to improve your [quality of] life—all He needs is your trust.
Until next week,
